I've never set a Tsavorite before, but I'm glad I invested in one to make a ring. This stone is beyond beautiful. Tsavorite is one of the most popular and expensive varieties of garnet. It's 200 times more rare than emerald and has more brillant sparkle due to a higher refractive quality.   The stones with a deep-green, emerald-like color like this one is always sought after.
