SILVER CREATIONS:
BRAD EGGER
I’ve been a self-taught practicing Artist/Silversmith for the last 40 years and have shown my jewelry throughout the mid-west. I was an art educator for 39 years in the state of Kansas. My definition of a good design is one that has great craftsmanship and beauty but still is very practical, useful, and functional for the wearer. I pride myself in saying that everything that I make is made by hand including the settings for the stones. I use the technique of fabrication to make my jewelry, no casting is used. The fabrication technique means I cut, pound, and shape sheet/wire metal into jewelry. I use precious and semi-precious stones using silver, gold, and sometimes brass and copper for accent color. I find that keeping my designs practical, simple and clean is the best way to achieve successful compositions of metal for everyday use.
